About the Founder
Vassiliki Pappas, MSEd, LMHC-D, LPC, NCC
I founded Vassiliki Pappas Mental Health Counseling, PLLC with the belief that therapy should feel collaborative, grounding, and deeply human. I provide a warm, supportive space where individuals can safely explore life’s challenges while building insight, resilience, and self-understanding.
I work with individuals of all backgrounds, identities, and experiences, while specializing in working with highly ambitious young adult and adult women navigating anxiety, PTSD/C-PTSD, sexual trauma, attachment wounds, unhealthy relationship dynamics, perfectionism, and hyper-independence. Often, these patterns develop as forms of protection and survival, leaving individuals feeling emotionally disconnected, overwhelmed, or stuck despite appearing highly capable on the outside.
My approach is eclectic and tailored to each individual, integrating evidence-based modalities including EMDR, Attachment Theory, Internal Family Systems, ACT, and somatic approaches to support meaningful and lasting healing. I am also a Certified 300-Hour Hot Yoga Teacher and am passionate about helping individuals connect with their mind and body, deepen self-acceptance, strengthen relationships, and reconnect with the strengths that already exist within them.
Compassion and accountability are at the core of my work. I believe healing happens within a strong therapeutic relationship where individuals feel genuinely seen, supported, and empowered to create sustainable change aligned with the life they want to live.
